Foot mat made of fibrous material

The foot mat (1, 2) made of fibrous material or the like is provided with a border (3). To enable easy and reliable as well as permanent attachment of this border (3) to the foot mat (1, 2), the fibrous material of the foot mat has fibres made of a material exhibiting dielectric losses, and the border (3) is a welded-on strip made of a thermoplastic (Fig.1).
