Protective device for the current supply to residential and industrial buildings and similar buildings. The installation of domestic lead-ins in power generating plants (A) for residential buildings is governed by the VDE regulation 0100, section 732/03.83, prescribing protection of current conductors (l) in the field of domestic lead-ins (E) from overcurrents, during short circuits in the consumer's part of the plant, by means of overcurrent protection elements (Ü) such as safety fuses (Si). To provide protection for the current passed out through the domestic lead-in, in case of short-circuit in the domestic connecting lead (l), an overcurrent protection element (Ü') is added to every conductor or current cable in such a conductor, disposed a short distance downstream of its junction (NA) with the distribution grid (N). Every overcurrent protection element (Ü') is provided with an automatic cut-out (L) as a safety switch, activated by an associated control unit (St). Said safety switch cuts overcurrents when they are detected by an overcurrent detector (D), and restores the current supply when a monitoring element (O) signals the elimination of the cause of the overcurrent. The overcurrent protection devices in a domestic connecting lead are disposed in a common protective casing (G). The automatic cutout (L) takes the form of an electro-mechanical contactor (Sch) with a series/choke (Dr), or of a semi-conductive contactor with two parallel grid thyristors (THI, TH2), or of a parallel connection between these alternatives, each provided with the suitable control unit.
|
