In the case of a relay, especially a heating relay for washing machines and the like, consisting of a drive system and a contact system having two electrically isolated contact spring sets, whose moving contacts are acted on in a switching manner by the drive system against the force of a spring element, the double-switching relay, which is arranged in a space-saving manner in a single housing, is characterised in that the contact system is allocated to a common relay base (3) by means of the housing (9), which accommodates the drive system separated from the contact system by a wall, one part of which relay base (3) is constructed as a spring bracket (46) for the stationary switching contacts (10), which are passed out at the side as connecting tabs or plug holders, as well as the connecting tabs (44) of the drive system, and whose other part, together with the housing (9) of the drive system, forms a chamber for the moving elements, and in that the elements which transmit the movement of the armature (24) of the drive system to the moving switching contacts (11, 41) of the contact system are two operating webs (6, 7), which are arranged parallel, isolated (separated) and side by side, are guided such that they can move in the longitudinal axial direction on the spring bracket (46) and on the rib (5) of the chamber wall (4), consist of a non-conductive material and have contact plates (12, 42) for making contact with the stationary switching contacts (10).
