An interlocking roofing tile has a single side interlocking part (2) with an outer side interlocking rib (15) and an inner side interlocking rib (16), a tile central zone (1), at least one top bead (5) and a single head interlocking part (3) with an outer head interlocking rib (7) and an inner head interlocking rib which runs continuously over the tile central zone (1) and the top bead (5). In order to achieve minimum transverse overlap along with simultaneous optimum sealing in the interlocking parts and also in the corner between four roofing tiles, the overlapping top-bead flank (6) is configured such that it forms a horizontal separation joint with the upper side surface of the inner side interlocking rib of the overlapped tile, and a slide-over plateau (10), which is enclosed by ribs (11) and is open only towards the head interlocking groove and thus to the tile central zone (1), is provided in the head interlocking part (3) in the corner between four roofing tiles. <IMAGE>
