PURPOSE:To prevent a halation at the time of display and to eliminate a fault when a part being the object of observation is observed and diagnosed by removing and reducing picture data on the part of a high luminance level and providing a control part which submits for picture display when the part of the high luminance level affecting an unfavorable influence on the other part on a display picture. CONSTITUTION:When an operator gives an instruction to a control part 5 for operating a comparison means 7 through an input device 6 when he views a display screen and judges to automatically remove the part of the high luminance level, collected data are sequentially compared with a threshold level Th and the control part 5 judges with respect to the parts of high level exceeding Th. Since the control part 5 gives to a picture data generation device 3 the instruction for removing (or reducing) the signals of high level, the picture without having the high luminance level is displayed on a picture monitor 4. In the case of manually removing (or reducing) the part of the high luminance level, an ROI setting means 8 is used without operating the comparison means 7. |
