PURPOSE:To prevent splashing and deposition of powder dust by providing an oscillation member which oscillates a powder dust preventive member and shakes down an developer adhering to the powder dust preventive member to the powder dust preventive member. CONSTITUTION:The powder dust preventive member 14 is mounted to a part 13 near the tip of a cover 4 and an oscillator 15 which is the oscillation member is fixed to the inside of a bent part 14a near a photosensitive drum 2. The oscillator 15 is energized continuously or intermittently during rotation of a developing sleeve 6 to impart the oscillation to the powder dust preventive member 14. The powder dust toner is, therefore, adhered and dropped repeatedly at all times and is prevented from depositing on the member. The fall of the toner in the form of a lump onto the sleeve 6 is thereby prevented and the conveyance of such lumped toner to the drum 2 and the consequent hindrance of the development are obviated.
