PURPOSE:To obtain correct position information even when a radio wave is reflected by selecting only a radio wave whose variation is smaller than a prescribed set value, and displaying a segment which extends in the radio wave arrival direction according to the position of the oscillation station of the radio wave in a two-dimensional screen as the origin. CONSTITUTION:The system consists of a direction and station searching machine 2 which detects the arrival direction of a radio wave by receiving the radio wave and discriminates the oscillation station for the radio wave, a map storage device 3 which stores the map of an area where an automobile is driven, an operation switch 4 for indicating operation, a controller 5 which consists principally of a microcomputer and performs the whole, and a CRT display device 6. Then the controller 6 selects only a radio wave which is detected by the searching device 2 and has variation in direction less than a prescribed set value and displays a segment which extends in the opposite direction from the arrival direction of the selected radio wave on the CRT screen of the device 6 according to the position of the oscillation state in the two-dimensional screen as the origin. This segment and road map are displayed on the CRT screen of the device 6 while overlapping with each other, so proper information on the position of the automobile is obtained. |
