PURPOSE:To reduce height and size by holding a photosensitive material in place between a stationary heating surface having an arc or plane shape and endless belt and conveying the material while subjecting the same to heating and developing. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material S subjected to imagewise exposing is held in place by the endless belt 150 which is supported and conveyed by belt supporting rollers (inlet) 146 and (outlet) 149 and the heating surface which is the heated stationary surface 144 having the arc shape. Microcapsules are cured by the heat from the arc-shaped stationary surface 144 and the photosensitive material is conveyed while the material is slid on the heating surface by the endless belt 150. The material is detached from the belt by a guide 154 laid on the belt supporting roller (outlet) 149 and is conveyed to a press contact roller with image receiving paper. The height and size of the heating and developing are thereby reduced.
