An ignition distributor for an internal-combustion engine comprises a cylindrical distributor rotor (23) composed of synthetic resin and rotates in synchronism with the rotation of the motor. A rotor electrode (25) extends radially outwards from the centre section of the upper surface of the distributor rotor (23). A plurality of circumferential electrodes are arranged in the rotating location of the distributor rotor (23) and are separated from the rotor electrode (25) by a discharge path. The rotor electrode (25) is in the shape of a letter T, whose verticle limb (33) is mounted on the distributor rotor (23) and whose horizontal limb (34) is opposite the circumferential electrode, having the shape of a circular segment. The surface of the horizontal limb (34) of the rotor electrode (25), which is opposite the respective circumferential electrodes, is constructed in the rough state, and the rough surface (35a) is coated with dielectric material, such as silicone resin, for example. <IMAGE>
