The centre line AA of the conical bore 20 in the shank is off-set from the centre line BB of the screwed end 22 of the pin, to provide a wedging action. The insert has a triangular hole which provides three sets of clamping surfaces for the conical end 18 of the pin 3, and the surfaces may be flat or curved. The insert may be of triangular, square or circular form.</p> |
