PURPOSE:To reduce the production cost of electrical rotary machinery by joining legs of said machinery to a frame thereof through laser welding. CONSTITUTION:In this apparatus, other ends of struts 9 and 10 welded to a pedestal 11 through arc welding and the like are attached to the outer peripheral face of a frame 1 by the use of a fixing jig 12. Then, laser beam 14 is applied to contact parts 15 of said frame 1 by a laser beam irradiation gun 13 from an angle almost parallel to contact surfaces of said contact parts. Said laser beam irradiation gun 13 is caused to move along said contact parts 15 of said struts 9 and 10 to perform welding. When the contact parts 15 are laser-welded in this manner, heat inputted to the frame 1 in welding is very little as compared with that in case of arc welding. Therefore, a heat deformation of the frame 1 hardly takes place. |
