NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is branched lower alkyl or acyloxy or lower alkyl substituted by formula II (R<2> is lower alkyl). EXAMPLE:Diisopropyl N-[4-[[(2,4-diamino-6-pteridinyl)-methyl]-methylamino]- benzoyl]-L-glutamate. USE:An antiulcer agent capable of orally administering. PREPARATION:The aimed compound is obtained by preparing diethyl N-(4- methylaminobenzoyl)-L-glutamate which is an intermediate from L-glutamic acid and 4-methylbenzoic acid, hydrolyzing the intermediate to afford N-(4- methylaminobenzoyl)-L-glutamic acid, reacting the resultant above-mentioned compound with an alkyl halide expressed by the formula X-R<1> (X is halogen) and condensing the product with a 2,4-diamino-6-halomethylpteridine.
