PURPOSE:To detect an area reference event by providing the titled system with a register instructing an area range indicating an area to be inspected in a memory and executing a reference source monitoring instruction for monitoring a reference source program. CONSTITUTION:A command decoding part 21 decodes an inputted PER mechanism service command, recognizes that an area is a reference event monitoring area and executes environment initializing processing necessary for operating an PER processing part 3. When a memory 11 reference event is generated in data processing, an address monitoring part 27 detects the generation and executes the PER interruption of a program interruption part 4. The PER interruption is transmitted to a control part 1 and a data collecting processing part 23 is driven to execute dump collecting or trace collecting processing. Since information necessary for inspecting a PSW, a register, etc., at the time of area reference can be collected, an area reference event to be the cause of area destruction can be easily detected.
