<p>The apparatus comprises: a chamber (10) having a face (11) open on the side towards which the spreading is effected, the said face being equipped with at least one grid (12); equipment for simultaneously spraying bitumen and water towards the said grid (12) in order to ensure, in the vicinity of the latter, dispersion of the water in the bitumen, and means for producing, inside the said chamber (10), a current of air passing through the latter and being discharged via the said grid (12).
