<p>A shoe (50) has a sole (52) which includes inflatable passage means having valved inlet means (34) which enable the passage means to be inflated. The passage means comprises two passages (16) which extend on each side of the shoe with a recess (20) therebetween. The passages (16) terminate at closed ends (22) adjacent the toe end of the shoe and are interconnected by a U-shaped passage (54) at the heel end portion of the shoe. In another embodiment, the inflatable passage means extends completely around the periphery of the sole.</p> |
