PURPOSE:To enable the controlling of the quantity of light transmitted through a glass substrate in accordance with the quantity of light incident to the glass substrate, by mounting a solar battery on one side of the glass substrate and mounting a light interrupting layer means on the other side of the glass substrate and connecting both sides to each other through an electronic controlling unit. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery 10 is mounted on one side of a glass substrate 11, and a light interrupting layer means 30 is mounted on the other side of the glass substrate 11, and the solar battery 10 is connected with the light interrupting layer means 30 through an electronic controlling unit. For example, a liquid crystal cell is used as said light interrupting layer means 30, and protective films 15 and 16 are formed respectively on the solar battery 10 and on the liquid crystal cell 30, respectively, of sides opposite to the glass substrate 11. Next, the solar battery 10 and the liquid crystal cell 30 are connected to each other through the electronic controlling unit (ECU) which contains a voltage regulating circuit with a variable resistor. When the ECU is controlled in accordance with an output voltage of the solar battery so as to switch the light interrupting layer means, the quantity of incident solar light can be regulated. |
