PURPOSE:To efficiently perform the work of collection of a coin, by displaying the number of a public telephone set whose counted value exceeds a reference value automatically, and displaying the collection state of the charges of a certain public telephone set at need. CONSTITUTION:The values of the public telephone charges collecting counter areas 8 of the public telephone sets 21-25 are counted at every collection of the coins or metallic pieces for call. And when the fact that counted value exceeds the reference value set in advance is detected after a counter is cleared to '0' by the command of a maintenance engineer, the numbers of the public telephone sets 21-25 are displaced either on a CRT for maintenance or a teletypewriter 4. Also, by inputting a command defined in advance, the value of the public telephone set charges collecting areas 8 of the public telephone sets 2-2 designated by the command are displayed either on the CRT for maintenance or the teletypewriter 4. In such a way, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the collection of the coins collected in the public telephone set.
