PURPOSE:To set a position of individual input/output terminals in a short time and to design a shorted wiring part by a method wherein a segment connecting central points of functional blocks and an intersecting point of sides of the functional blocks are defined as the input/output terminals and a wiring route is set by connecting the individual input/output terminals in the direction perpendicular to and parallel with the blocks. CONSTITUTION:When a wiring route connecting two or more functional blocks mutually is to be designed by a CAD method, straight lines lAB, lBC, lAC connecting individual central points OA-OC of the functional blocks A-C to be connected mutually and intersecting points 1-6 of sides of the individual functional blocks are defined as input/output terminals. After straight lines perpendicular to the sides of the blocks have been extracted, the individual straight lines are crossed directly, or are crossed via the straight lines parallel with the sides of the blocks so that shortest wiring routes a-c can be constituted. Furthermore, when, e.g., the wiring route set in the above manner is bent on other functional blocks, a wiring part is corrected in such a way that the bent part is expelled outside the functional blocks.
