<p>A thoracic drainage unit has a liquid seal chamber (16) above the collection container(14). The seal chamber(16) has an overflow outlet tube(72) and an inlet tube (92) spaced from the inner wall of the seal chamber(16). Baffle walls(96,98) define an enclosed space through which the inlet tube (92) may be observed for bubbling and tidalling. Further baffle walls (84,86,88,90) separate foam from the liquid around the overflow tube(72).</p> |
