A rail assembly for a reinforced wall soft side waterbed includes at least one cushion assembly, each cushion assembly includes an upper rail of resilient material, a lower rail, and an L-shaped reinforcing bar which extends past the lower surface of the lower rail. The rail assembly is assemblable to a deck assembly including a side wall such that the depending flange of the L-shaped reinforcing member interlocks with the side wall of the deck assembly.
