PURPOSE:To enhance an ink transfer efficiency and a life, by a method wherein, a first hot-melt ink layer which is solid at a room temperature is formed at least on a substrate through an adhesive layer, and thereon a high-molecular ink holding layer having a porous structure and a second hot-melt ink layer are successively laminated. CONSTITUTION:A first hot-melt ink layer 3, a hot-melt ink 5 filling a porous film 4, and a part 5-1 of a second hot-melt ink layer 16, which were heated by a heat applying printing body 10, uniformly turn into a fluid state. The second ink layer 6 is transferred first to a paper to be subjected to transfer 9 under pressure; in this manner, a printing image 5-1t with a high density and a high resolving power is obtained. At a part 5-2, where the ink layer 16 has been consumed already, the ink layer 3 is transferred to the paper 9 along a hole 4-a due to the application of pressure and heat. Because the ink in the ink layer 3 is held by a sufficiently large quantity, a transfer image 5-2t having a printing quality identical to the first image can be obtained. At a part 5-3 where the repeat number is further increased several times, the ink 5 within a porous ink holding layer 6 is still transferred to the paper 9. |
