PURPOSE:To obtain a composition, containing 3-allyloxy-1,2-benzisothiazole-1,1- dioxide and 4'-chloro-2'-(alpha-hydroxybenzyl)isonicotinanilide and having particularly improved properties of controlling blast of ice plant, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition consisting of 5-60% (A) 3-allyloxy-1,2- benzisothiazole-1,1-dioxide and (B) 4'chloro-2'-(alpha-hydroxybenzyl)isonicotinalide, 70-99% carrier (e.g. talc, clay, water or DMF) and 0-20% adjuvant (e.g. dispersing agent, thickening agent or antifreezing agent). This composition is properly applied in a period from the transplanting of rice plants to the heading time thereof. Since leaf and ear blast can be controlled and increasing action on tillering stems and sort-culming action on rice plant seedlings are improved, yield can be increased and lodging can be prevented. The amount of the chemical used is preferably 100-600g/10a expressed in terms of the total amount of the ingredients (A) and (B). |
