摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain a detector with a reduced necessary measuring interval by providing two optical cameras for taking each end of the width of rolled plate in the field of view of each optical camera arranged above or below the rolled plate and the like. CONSTITUTION:Cameras 3a and 3b are arranged opposite to the end portions of a rolled plate 1 so that the running direction of the rolled plate 1 and a horizontal scanning direction perpendicularly intersect with each other. The rolled plate 1 is scanned by the cameras 3a and 3b i synchronism with each other by the output of a synchronous signal generator 10. From the output signal of the driven camera 3a (or 3b), ldeltaw (orld) in the signal 3aw ( or 3bw) is detected by a signal processing circuit 11a (or 11b) in the camera 3a (or 3b). Output values thus obtained are taken out by a quantity corresponding to a given number of scanning lines and averaged 14a and 14b. Based thereon, the quantity of a staggering motion is calculated 15 to be output outputted. Thus, the staggering motion can be controlled on the basis of the output value and a detecting interval can be freely selected by setting the number (averaged number) of horizontal scanning lines. Therefore the above-described detector can be applied to staggering motion control for every rolling mill.</p>
