PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance by forming a land section from sintered ceramics and the shaft section from sintered metal. CONSTITUTION:In a spool to be employed in a spool valve, the shaft section 21 is formed from sintered metal while the land section 16 is formed from sintered ceramics. A stop portion 20a is formed at the end of the land 16 so as to joint the shaft section 21 and the land 16 such that the shaft section 21 is not removed. Consequently, abrasion resistance at the land section is improved so as to improve the reliability and the durability, and the sintered metal forming the land section can be jointed firmly to sintered ceramics forming the shaft section.
