发明名称 PRODUCTION OF CYCLIC AZO COMPOUND BY LASER IRRADIATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a cyclic azo compound useful as a raw material for organic fine chemical products, intermediate or reaction reagent, in short time and high yield, by irradiating a compound having two azido groups in a molecule with high-intensity ultraviolet light generated by a laser. CONSTITUTION:A compound having two proximate azido groups in a molecule (e.g. 1,8-diazidonaphthalene) is dissolved in a solvent transmitting ultraviolet light (e.g. hexane or ethanol) and irradiated with laser light at normal temperature to obtain the objective cyclic azo compound. The laser is preferably excimer laser. For example, KrF laser, ArF laser or XeCl laser can be effectively used. The above process can be carried out by extremely simple operation and the objective compound can be produced in a short time and high yield.
