摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a system for efficiently executing the survey of a number of points by an operator by measuring angles and ranges by remotely controlling an angle and range measuring instrument and obtaining surveyed data. CONSTITUTION:A surveying system is constituted by a surveying instrument 1 composed of an approximate direction measuring instrument 3 and an angle and range measuring instrument 4 with a controller and a target instrument 2 composed of a collimator 7, a projector and a corner prism. The instrument 1 is mounted on a surveying point near the center of a surveying area with a good perspective. Then, the instrument 2 is mounted on another surveying point. A laser beam is emitted by using the collimator 7 of the instrument 2 and the measuring instrument 3 and the instrument 1 is accurately directed in the direction of the instrument 2 in the order of (1)-(2) as shown. In this condition, the collimating point of the collimator 7 and the projected point of the beam 13 are changed from a corner prism 5 with an incident angle measuring function to the center point of a telescope 11 and a signal is fed to the angle and range measuring instrument 4 to accurately measure angles and ranges. At this time, the quantity of a deviation 16 from the center of the optical axis of the telescope 11 is measured by an image sensor 18 in the telescope 11 of the angle and range measuring instrument 4 and a measured angle value is corrected by the quantity of the deviation 16 to enable a correct angle value to be obtained.
