POWER SYNTHESIZING TYPE POWER AMPLIFIER

PURPOSE:To decrease an undesired wave by bringing the combination of the amplifiers into a specific relation so as to increase the power absorbed in a terminator thereby reducing the power leaked to other output terminals. CONSTITUTION:An input signal to a balance type amplifier is amplified by two amplifiers and the power leaked and absorbed in the output terminator depends on only the dispersion of the characteristic of the two amplifiers constituting the balanced type amplifier. N-set of pairs [P2i-1, P2i] (i=1-N) are formed among 2N-set of amplifiers 7-1-7-2N in the order of two amplifiers having a large dispersion Kij and the two amplifiers of the N-set are connected to an optional two-output terminal of N-set of hybrid couplers 8-1-8-N of the (n+1)-th stage of a 1st power coupler 5 to increase the sum of the leaked power absorbed in the N-set of output terminators 11-1-11-N. Thus, the leaked power to other signal output terminal is reduced.
