PURPOSE:To set a centroid point in a graphic by following the instruction of a centroid point setting instructing means by a control means and setting the centroid point the graphic developed in a storing means when an input means instructs the control means to set the centroid point. CONSTITUTION:The control means 8, when the centroid point of the graphic developed to the storing means 9 is instructed to set, reads the centroid point setting instructing means 10 from the storing means 9, obtains a rectangle having respective sides parallel to an X direction and a Y direction and circumscribing this graphic and checks whether the centroid there of the present in the graphic or not as the first candidate of the centroid point. At the time of the first candidate present externally, when an angle <ABC formed by three adjacent points (A-C) to a point forming the angle of the graphic is below 180 deg., whether the intermediate point between A and C is present in the graphic or not is checked as the secondidate of the centroid point. Thereby, the centroid point can be automatically set.
