PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which gives a hardened covering film with good finish without such troublesome treatment and skill as required in application of coating, by incorporating a compound in the form of a liquid or paste at ordinary temperatures, a curing agent, and if necessary, a coloring agent into a specified acrylic copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having a Tg of -60-60 deg.C, made from 50-95wt.% alkyl ester (a) of a 1-12C (meth)acrylic acid, 5-50wt.% alpha-monoolefin carboxylic acid (b), and 0-30wt.% other vinyl compound (c) is reacted with an unsaturated compound (d) in an amount of 0-80mol.% based on the functional groups of the component (b), giving an acrylic polymer (A). The title composition contains 100pts.wt. of acrylic polymer A, 1-100pts.wt. of a compound (B) in the form of a liquid or paste at ordinary temperatures, 0-200pts.wt. of a coloring agent (C), and 1-15pts.wt. of a curing agent (D). When a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or tape prepared by forming a layer of this pressure-sensitive adhesive composition on a base material is sticked to the surface of an object to be covered and heated to an appropriate temperature, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is transferred to the surface of the object to be covered. Therefore, only the base material can be easily peeled off so that a covered surface where the hardened pressure-sensitive adhesive layer firmly adheres to the surface of the object can be easily obtained.
