PURPOSE:To save a battery by changing only a mobile terminal side, by constituting a device in such a way that a paging receiver is incorporated or installed loadably/unloadably freely on a conventional portable radio telephone system, and expect reception for an incoming call is performed by the paging receiver. CONSTITUTION:A radio telephone set 3 is constituted in such a way that the paging receiver 4 can be loaded/unloaded freely on the set, and when they are used separately, they are operated as an independent radio telephone set 3, and paging receiver 4. On the other hand, when they are used after being connected, a switch 51 which tenses the loading/unloading state of the paging receiver is closed when loading the paging receiver, and based on the above state, the power source control part 36 of the telephone system stops power supplying to a transmission/reception part 32, a control part 33, and a frequency synthesizer 34 in the radio telephone set 3, and stop the operation of the expect reception of the radio telephone set 3. Also, the power to every part in the paging receiver is always supplied, and the paging receiver always performs the expect reception. Since the paging receiver is a receiver of pocket bell system, it is possible to realize the expect reception with remarkably low power consumption by using an intermittent reception system. |
