PURPOSE:To obtain the development performance to stabilize the electrostatic charge quantity of a toner with time by rounding the edge of a scraper which contacts a developer carrier. CONSTITUTION:The edge part of the scraper 5 is usually cut by pressing or the like and is, therefore, burred 11. If the edge part is burred, the triboelectric charge of a brush and the scraper 5 is substantially the triboelectric charge of the brush and the burrs 11. The friction condition thereof is extremely vigorous, fluctuates heavily and is unstable. The electrostatic charge quantity of the toner on a developing roller is, therefore, unstable. This edge part is, thereupon, rounded, by which the generation of the unstable and vigorous triboelectric charge by the burrs is obviated. The excellent development performance is thereby obtd. |
