PURPOSE:To transmit the priority of a transmission frame mutually in a LAN where the transmission frame without priority is used, by sending the transmission frame with priority from a destination side bridge to a destination side LAN after applying mapping on the transmission frame priority of the destination side LAN. CONSTITUTION:Plural low-order LANs 2 and 3 using the transmission frames with priority and a high-order LAN1 using the transmission frame without priority are connected mutually with bridges 4 and 5. When the transmission frame is sent with priority 3 from a terminal 6 to a terminal 7, the transmission side bridge 4 sends a write frame in the information part of a frame format in the relay high-order LAN1 with a bit of reception information. When it arrives at the destination side bridge 5, a bit of priority information in the information part is detected. In such a way, the bit of priority information of the transmission frame of the low-order LAN2 on a transmission side can be affected on the frame of the low-order LAN3 on a destination side.
