PURPOSE:To surely remove heavy metals contained in drainage in a simple treating process, by passing drainage contg. heavy metals through an adsorption tower housed with an adsorbent having hydrophobic adsorptivity and hydrophilic adsorptivity and also having electric charge and consisting of granulated continuous pore bodies. CONSTITUTION:Drainage contg. heavy metals is passed through an adsorption tower housed with an adsorbent having hydrophobic adsorptivity and hydrophilic adsorptivity and also having electric charge and consisting of granulated continuous pore bodies. In this case, the adsorbent consists of granulated continuous pore bodies having negative monovalent electric charge wherein the fly ashes of coal and portland cement are used as a main raw material and ammonium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium sulfate, citric acid and cobalt chloride are added and a tetrahedron of SiO4.Al2O4 shares oxygen atom to form an oxygen ring and a three- dimensional skeleton structure continued with it is formed. As a result, heavy metals contained in drainage can be surely removed in a simple treating process and therefore the time necessary for its treatment can be shortened.
