PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability by using a specified hydrazone compound for an electric charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer of the photosensitive layer functionally separated into a charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer in the electrophotographic sensitive body contains as a charge transfer material one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, such as methyl or ethyl, aryl, such as phenyl or biphenyl, aralkyl, such as benzyl or phenethyl, and each of these groups may be substituted by halogen, such as fluoro or chloro, alkyl, such as methyl or ethyl, alkoxy, such as methoxy or ethoxy, or substituted amino, such as phenylamino, thus permitting sensitivity and characteristics to be sufficient, and variance of potential in the light and potential in the dark to be reduced in at the time of repeated cycles of charging and exposure operations. |
