PURPOSE:To simply and accurately perform the welding by making eccentric a bag part and a flange part of a metal fitting cap having the cylindrical bag part and flange part with the bottom at a prescribed value and inserting the bag part into a corrugate pipe to fit it to an opening part airtightly and fitting the flange part to the edge of the opening part. CONSTITUTION:The bag part 21 has the outside diameter d0 almost equal to the inner diameter d0 of a valley part 2 of the corrugate pipe. Moreover, the outside diameter D0 of the flange part 22 has the outside diameter exceeding the inside diameter of the opening part where the corrugate pipe 1 is cut vertically to its central axial line. Then, respective centers O2 and O of the bag part 21 and the flange part 22 are relatively deviated and the quantity S0 of eccentricity is set to almost half a value of the difference between the inner diameter D of the opening end and the inner diameter of the valley part 2. Next, the bag part 21 of the metal fitting cap 20 is inserted into the opening part of the corrugate pipe 1 and fitted thereto with a part having the narrow width of the flange part 22 positioned at the valley part 2 side and a part having the side width positioned at the crest part 3 side. At this time, the outside diameter d0 of the bag part 21 and the inside diameter of the valley part 2 are set close fit and the metal fitting cap 20 is tack-welded to the corrugate 1 pipe. Next, the metal fitting cap 20 is welded 23 to the opening part edge.
