PURPOSE:To teach the working line coordinates automatically and in a short time by using a sensor head which detects a peculiar line on the working line set on a work. CONSTITUTION:A peculiar line T is set on a work along the working line. The direction, the start point and the end point of the line T are supplied through a control board 60 and a copying action is instructed. A sensor head 20 attached at the tip part of an arm of a processing machine main body 10 radiates an infrared ray onto the work surface and receives the laser light irregularly reflected. Then the head 20 has a weaving action on the line T and at the same time outputs a peculiar line detecting signal D showing the presence of the line T. A copying measurement arithmetic part 40 calculates the measurement point data showing the position coordinates of the line T based on the signal D and the height detecting signal H received from the head 20 as well as a position detecting signal L received from the main body 10. In such a way, an automatic input of the working line is realized.
