PURPOSE:To perform the transmission/reception of a picture data between the extensions of a key telephone set side via a main device, by connecting a standard facsimile equipment with the key telephone set side. CONSTITUTION:When the facsimile equipment 5 is set as a waiting state, no driving of a relay contact 61 by a current detector 62 is performed, and the key telephone set 2 is connected to the main device 1 with a data line 3 and a speech line 4, and the outgoing call to and the incoming call from another extension via a central office line or a private branch exchange, the mutual outgoing/incoming between the key telephone sets 2, set., are performed by controlling a key switch or a display panel via the data line 3. When the facsimile equipment 5 is operated, the relay contact 61 is opened by the current detector 62 of a switching device 6, and the speech line 4 to the key telephone set 2 is disconnected. In such a way, only the facsimile equipment 5 is connected to the speech line 4 to the main device 1.
