PURPOSE:To obtain a sure synchronously photographed image by executing timing control in such a manner that the control signal for the light emission of an electronic flash is obtd. at the timing to miss the timing for ending the accumulation of an image pickup element from between the light emission of the electronic flash and the start of recording with a video camera. CONSTITUTION:The timing is so controlled as the obtain the control signal for the light emission of the electronic flash at the timing to miss the timing for the end of accumulation of the image pickup element from between the light emission of the electronic flash and the start of recording with the video camera 11 at the time of executing the synchronous photographing with the video camera 13 having the image pickup element with which the accumulation timing of the photoelectric charge is the same within the respective field periods and the film camera under the light emission of the electronic flash. The light emission of the electronic flash 12 is thereby synchronized nearly with the accumulation timing of the image pickup element of the video camera 13, by which the accumulation timing of the frame image of the image pickup element is matched with the light emission time of the electronic flash. The sure synchronously photographed image is thereby obtd.
