PORTABLE RADIO TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of communication by adopting the radio communication system by means of a radio wave to the transmission means of a call signal of a portable radio telephone system and adopting the transmission system of optical space propagation for the transmission means of a two-way communication signal after the call thereby attaining the reception of a call signal independently of the position and direction of the telephone line terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A call signal sent via a digital telephone line 2 is detected by a call signal detection circuit in a communication controller 1 and sent to a radio wave transmission/reception equipment 4, from which the signal is sent. A call signal sent via a radio wave signal transmission line 6 from the transmitter 4 is received by a radio wave reception section 7c of the portable radio telephone set 7 and when a call signal designates the telephone set 7, a buzzer 7d is energized to inform the callout to the user. The user receiving the notice turns on the switch of a signal transmission section 7b and an optical signal reception section 7a and sends the communication request toward an optical signal transmission/reception unit 3 installed on the ceiling whose optical axis of the light emitting element is directed and the communication is applied through an optical signal transmission line 5.
