PURPOSE:To improve sealing-function of a sealant by composing it mainly of a base material made of a gas impermeable material and cis-1,4-polyisoprene formed on the base material. CONSTITUTION:A sealant 19 for an air cell comprises a base material 19b and an adhesive layer 19a formed on the base material 19b. Such as polyester, polyethylene, etc., are preferable materials for composing the base material 19b. On the other hand, for the adhesive layer 19a, a natural rubber or a natural synthetic rubber mainly composed of cis-1,4-polyisoprene, such as, hevea rubber or gutta percha, with acetone and ketone employed as a solvent, and compounded with a dispersing agent such as pine resine, ester gum etc., are employed. Accordingly, while an air cell is being preserved, an air suppling hole of a positive electrode-can is surely closed and moisture in electrolyte, damp or carbonic acid gas in air is not allowed to permeate so that characteristics of an air cell can be maintained. |
