PURPOSE:To increase the frame speed of a camera which detects the focus at every photographing by outputting a signal to start a mirror-up action during driving of a photographing lens. CONSTITUTION:This device has means 6, 7 for controlling lens driving which move the photographing lens automatically to a focal position in accordance with the output from a means 5 for detecting the focus. The signal to start the mirror-up action is outputted from a sequence control means 18 while the photographing lens is driven by the means 7 for controlling the lens driving and the mirror-up driving is executed regardless of whether the photographing lens is under movement or not at the time of continuous photographing. The frame speed time of the camera to execute focus detection at every exposing at the time of the continuous photographing is thereby shortened. |
