PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and inexpensive debug device and to provide it on the desk of each user by adding a data display means to the debug device to supply and display the relevant value in response to a group of registers of a processor. CONSTITUTION:The data value of a register set or replaced by an instruction is inputted via an input means 11 and then set at a reversible counter 5 to be displayed on a display device 4. When an addition or subtraction operation is inputted to the register, a count input device 12 is pushed by the prescribed frequency so that the counter 5 is counted up or down. A data input display device 20 of such a constitution is set in response to a group of registers of a processor. Then the data value of a register having no state change is held by the counter 5 and displayed as it is. Thus it is possible to recognize visually the data value of the register group in a relevant program step just with reference to the device 4 corresponding to the register.
