CONSTITUTION:A CPU variably adjusts the driving command signal to be outputted to a driver Q3 in accordance with the result of the comparative computation between the value of the quantity of detection light and the data on the upper/lower limit values of the quantity of light and controls the quantity of light of a light source lamp 32. In addition, the CPU compares and computes the signal value applied from a photo/electric and current/voltage converter 43 and the signal value applied from a photo/electric and current/voltage converter 44 and outputs the driving control signal to a driver Q4 to control the mixing ratio of the color toner and carrier in a developing device. Furthermore, the CPU calculates the amt. of the replenished toner by counting the signals outputted from a photointerruptor Q7 by the internal counter and controls the backward moving speed of an image exposing means by adjusting a motor driver 45 in accordance with the calculated amt. of the toner to be replenished, thereby assuring the time when the agitation of the color toner and carrier in the developing device is sufficiently executed.
