<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten a device by connecting a series body having two groups of field systems among the bridging points of a bridge circuit consisting of four pairs of choppers while the series nodes of two groups of the field systems are each connected at both ends of a power supply through switches. CONSTITUTION:When the command of forward power running is given, a field chopper 75 is turned on. Field choppers 72, 84 start chopping, and currents flowing through the field system 71 of a first phase motor and the field system 81 of a second phase motor are controlled. The field chopper 72 controlling the field currents of a first phase and the field chopper 84 controlling the field currents of a second phase can be controlled independently at that time. When the command of forward braking is given, the field chopper 75 is turned off, and a field chopper 74 is turned on in place of the field chopper 75. Field choppers 73, 85 are chopped, and field currents are controlled.</p> |
