PURPOSE:To securely prevent supply of two sheets at a time in supplying the sheet, by subjecting both the surface of an image-receiving layer and the back side of a base sheet to an antistatic treatment to ensure that the surface resistivities of the surface of the image-receiving layer and the back side of the base sheet are set to be respectively not less than specified values. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an image-receiving layer and the back side of a base sheet of a thermal transfer recording sheet are subjected to an antistatic treatment to set the surface resistivity of the surface of the layer to be not more than 1X10<13>OMEGAcm and that of the back side of the base sheet to be not more than 1X10<10>OMEGAcm. To achieve the antistatic treatment, the ratio of the amount of an antistatic agent to the amount of a resin as a binder is suitably controlled. The antistatic agent may be an ionic surface active agent, and may also be a polysiloxane compound. Thus, an excellent antistatic effect can be contrived, and it is possible to securely prevent supply of two sheets at a time, which is liable to occur particularly in supplying the sheet at the time of thermal transfer recording. |
