METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STRIPPING ELECTRODEPOSITED MATTER FROM CATHODE PLATE FOR ELECTROLYSIS OF METAL

PURPOSE:To strip electrodeposited metal plates quickly with high reliability while decreasing the damages of a cathode base plate, etc., by preliminarily stripping the corners at the top edges of the electrodeposited metal plates on both faces of the base plate, then pressing and passing the base plate between stationary type scrapers. CONSTITUTION:The front ends 6a of small scrapers 6 of a pretreatment device body 5 are inserted into the slightly floating-up part of insulators 3 in the corners at the top edge on both faces on one side of the electrodeposited plates 2 electrodeposited on both faces of the cathode base plate 1. A cylinder 8 is then actuated to advance the above-mentioned body 5 by which the electrodeposited plates 2 are preliminarily stripped. The base plate 1 is thereafter moved transversely and is pressed toward the progressing direction so that the base plate is passed between a pair of the stationary type scrapers 16 erected on both sides on the track in the progressing direction. The scrapers 16 are passed through the preliminarily stripped parts from blade edges 19 at the top end by which the entire part of the above-mentioned electrodeposited plates 2 is mechanically stripped from the base plate 1.
