PURPOSE:To produce beta-tyrosinase in high efficiency, by culturing a host microbial strain transformed with a recombinant DNA derived from a DNA fragment containing a gene participating in beta-tyrosinase and a vector DNA. CONSTITUTION:A host microbial strain is transformed by using a recombinant DNA derived from a DNA fragment containing beta-tyrosinase gene and a vector DNA and the transformant is cultured in a medium to produce and accumulate beta-tyrosinase in the cultured product or the medium. The above host microbial strain is selected from microorganisms belonging to Escherichia genus, Pseudomonas genus, Flavobacterium genus, Bacillus genus, Serratia genus, Xanthomonas genus, Agrobacterium genus, Achromobacter genus, Aerobacter genus, Erwinia genus, Proteus genus, Salmonella genus, Citrobacter genus, Enterobacter genus, Corynebacterium genus or Brevibacterium genus. |
