One or more electrical branch conductors (21,22) are coupled to a main conductor (15) by a terminal of e.g. glass fibre reinforced polyamide in two parts (2,3) enclosing a triangular prismatic brass contact block (10). The legs (5,6) of the U-shaped upper part (2) face each other with snap edges (7), between which the co-operative edges of legs (8) of the lower part (3) are forced and retained by the barbs. The main conductor (15) is gripped by a large coupling screw (18) threaded through the block (10), which contains smaller screws (23,24) in angled and threaded holes (12,13) for contact with the branch conductors (21,22) inserted into the block.
