Installation for the wet treatment of textile materials arranged on material holders, comprising a vessel 200 with a substantially horizontal axis, with an apparatus for moving through the said materials a treatment fluid flowing in a closed loop and, as required, a heat exchanger 212 interposed on the said loop, the said apparatus comprising a first pipe 211 establishing a first path t1 of circulation of the treatment fluid in one direction, the circulation of the said fluid in the other direction being performed outside the textile materials under treatment, between the latter and the enclosure of the vessel along a second path t2 which includes at least one second pipe. The said second pipe 210 is connected to the vessel 200 through one, or advantageously several, passages 235, 236 made in the floor, the side walls and/or the rear wall of the said vessel 200. Application: dyeing, bleaching, etc. of yarns, fabrics or the like. <IMAGE>
