<p>PURPOSE:To save time and labor in aligning elements, by using steel wire covered with copper for lead wires of pin head diodes in aligning diode elements in parallel with a parallel magnetic field to accomplish each step. CONSTITUTION:In the lead wire of a diode element 1, a copper wire 13 is used as a core wire, the outer surface of the wire 13 is covered with a Cu layer 11 and an Ag or Ni plated layer 12 is provided on the surface. The elements 1 are automatically aligned in the direction of a parallel magnetic field, which is generated between both magnets 4 only by inputting the elements 1 in a surface treating bath 2. The elements are supported as they are floated in liquid 3 between both magnets 4. When the magnets 4 are moved in the direction of arrows, the elements are moved in parallel in the liquid to undergo sufficient surface treatment. Thus the time and the labor of the element 1 are saved.</p> |
